Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I started this passion project with two goals in mind: to inspire people to learn test automation in an approachable way and to share my love for a quality espresso ☕.

I’m a Software Quality Engineer who, like many of you, can’t function without a good dose of caffeine 😵‍💫. My journey into the world of automation began a few years ago, and it’s been an exciting ride ever since. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned in hopes of making someone else’s journey less intimidating and more exciting.✨

Here’s what to expect:

Tutorials 💻 : I watched countless tutorials that helped demystify the process. I’ll share my favorites for beginners—some even offer free certificates, which are great to add to your LinkedIn!

Projects 👩🏻‍💻 : Until recently, I hadn’t thought about creating a portfolio of automation projects. This is a helpful addition to your resume so employers can gauge your skill set. I’ll show you how to create a free GitHub profile to get started as well as some great demo sites to practice test automation.

Tools 🛠️: There are many automation tools out there, but you only need a few to build a solid foundation. Early in my career, I made the mistake of trying to learn everything. It’s better to master a few key tools than to know a little about many. Mastering a specific skill set allows you to solve complex problems more effectively, making you more valuable to potential employers. It also gives you the confidence to tackle new challenges, as you’ll have a deeper understanding and expertise in those tools. When you spread yourself too thin, you risk becoming a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none, which can limit your career growth.

Coffee Recommendations ☕︎ and Rants 🗣️:

Beyond automation, this blog is also a place for some light-hearted coffee talk. I’m a big fan of coffee subscriptions and local cafes. I’ll post reviews and as well as recommendations of great coffee shops to visit!
